The full story
The problem
Equalify wanted a job platform where candidates are judged on what they can do, not on who they are. Job seekers and employers each get their own side of the platform, and AI matching connects them on qualifications, skills, experience and preferences.
The platform had to match people on the skills alone, and still take both sides all the way from match to interview.
What we built
We built two journeys on one platform. Candidates register as students or professionals and fill in a step-by-step profile; employers set up a company profile and post vacancies for both groups.
An AI model compares each profile with each vacancy, leaves personal identifiers out, and scores the fit as a percentage. Candidates see their top matches, employers see a ranked table per vacancy, and the conversation moves to the platform's inbox, where interview slots are proposed and booked.
- Anonymous profiles
- Name, gender, nationality, age and ethnicity are left out when profiles are matched.
- Match scores per vacancy
- Every candidate gets a match percentage for each vacancy; employers see them in one table, candidates see their top five.
- Inbox and interview booking
- Employers propose time slots, candidates book one, and both get notified by email.
- Credits for referrals
- Candidates earn credits when someone they invite registers, and spend them to approach companies directly.
What changed
- Skills come first
- Employers meet candidates through their qualifications before they see anything else about them.
- A shortlist, not a pile of CVs
- Match scores rank candidates per vacancy, so the first review starts with the closest fits.
- From match to interview in one place
- Messages, time slots and confirmations stay on the platform instead of spreading over email and calendars.
